¡Ay que sueño! student book reviews the colors, numbers up to 30 and previously taught greetings. It reviews basic questions, commands and introduces essential language structures needed for basic communication including: "duerme, tiene sueño, se lava, huele mal and compra" as well as a review of the grammatical structures taught in previous workbooks.

In addition, it reviews formulaic expressions including: How are you? What are you called? How old are you? It explores the social norms and habitation norms in Spanish-speaking countries.

This workbook is recommended for students in 2nd grade after completing "Toro y Caballo" workbook (second semester of the school year). There are two short stories in the workbook with illustrations that allow students to practice reading Spanish. Furthermore, there are several formats of written activities throughout the workbook, including a blank space where the students can draw and write the stories created in class. As part of a cultural activity, students compare their social norms to the social norms of Spanish-speaking countries.
